In order to keep the baseball brain cells active in the off-season, I joined a 12 member league where each team drafts 40 minor league players.
The goal of the league is to build the best organization for the majors. With each pick, you have a choice. Do you take the player with the highest ceiling with the best tools who may have the lowest floor or do you pick the solid, mid-level prospect who may not be a future star, but an average MLB'er.
It's an interesting concept - hard to back the claims of best draft without statistics - but as I said - it keeps the brain cells active.
